Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for 2011 Lincoln MKT

Question:

We recently had one of your fabulous hitches installed and now are looking to buy a Thule bike rack - the platform type, not the hanging type. Need your suggestion concerning which model fits the Draw-Tite 2-inch receiver on my 2011 Lincoln MKT. My main concern is the distance of the racks neck inch that fits into the receiver so that the rack does not scrape the rear bumper of the car. TY!

I have platform-style bike rack options for your 2011 Lincoln MKT, though not with Thule. Your vehicle needs more space to clear the bumper than the Thule racks can offer, so I recommend the Kuat Sherpa, # SH22P, a high-quality rack which offers 7-1/2 inches of space from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier when folded (your vehicle requires at least 6 inches to clear the bumper). The Yakima HoldUp, # Y02443, is another quality option, measuring 7 inches to the closest wheel holder when folded.
