Can Reese 30084 5th Wheel Hitch be Made to Fit a 2017 Ram 3500 Long Bed w/Factory Puck System

Question:

I have a RP30084 in my current truck, but am buying a 2017 Ram 3500 Dually with an 8foot bed and pre-drilled pucks. I will no longer need the slider capability, but can I use the 30084 in my new long bed Ram? I will leave my current rails in the old truck so what will I need for the pre-drilled puck attachment points? Thanks.

To use your existing hitch, # RP30084, in your 2017 Ram 3500 with the factory puck system you will need an adapter, # RP30154. The adapter fits in the pucks and the hitch fits in the adapter as if they were regular rails. I have linked a video of the adapter for you.

Like you said you will not have to slide the hitch back since you have a long bed truck so leave it in the tow position at all times.
