Recommended Adapter For Gooseneck Hitch When Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2017 Ram 2500 6foot Bed without factory bed rails. I bought the Draw-tite gooseneck hitch #9467 from e-trailer a couple months ago. I am wanting a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter for a 5th wheel camper. Will the # CAB-C5G work for this truck or do I need to get an adapter with an offset because of the short bed? Thanks

The # CAB-C5G will not give you any additional turning clearance with the fifth wheel trailer on your 2017 Ram 2500.
I recommend an adapter like part # AM3139. This adapter has an 8-inch offset and is designed for short-bed trucks.
You may want to also consider a slide hammer to ease installation of the inner threaded collar around the trailer king pin. This item is part # AM3103.
