Raising a Small Single Axle Camper's Suspension Without an Over-Under Kit
Question:
I have an older single axle camper that rides very low and bottoms out. Ive read that an over-under kit would raise it roughly 4, but you dont carry a kit for such a small axle roughly 1 13/16. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks

Aside from the Over-Under kits, there are 2 other options for you.
The most cost-effective would be to replace your current hangers with taller hangers, like part # 28-9-1 for 2 inch leaf springs. By using taller hangers, it will make your leaf springs sit lower which, in turn, will raise your trailer. I have linked our product page for hangers, you will just need to pick the appropriate width of your leaf springs and the desired height.
The other option would be to replace your current axle with a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension. Depending on the weight capacity of your current axle, we might carry some Timbren Suspension systems which will provide you with a lift. The part # ASR2KHDS03 is rated for 2,000 lbs and will provide your trailer with a 4 inch lift. Even though this might be a little pricy to put on an older camper, if you plan on using your camper for years to come, this option might be worth considering. I am providing a link to our selection of Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension products for you to view as well.
