Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to Clear Spare

Question:

I have a 2017 jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It has an oversize spare tire that sticks out 10 inches from the end of the trailer hitch. It has an aftermarket mounting system that does not appear to be compatible with any of your products stock tire mounting systems. I am interested in a two bike rack that has a cradle system. Can you please advise which system you would work with my vehicle. Thank you so much and advance for all your help. I have already tried from a local bike shop the Saris freedom to and it did not work.

The Thule T2 part # TH983JV has a distance of 7 inches from the center of the pin hole to the nearest wheel tray so it would not clear the rear spare you have on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Instead, I would recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black # BA22B. It holds bikes up to 60 pounds and can hold tires up to 5 inches using the fat bike straps. It has a 11-3/4 " clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack.
