Do All Tekonsha Breakaway Systems have an Amber Indicator to Show the Battery is Charging

Do all the pro series have an amber charging light. Seems mine doesnt even when powers connected

Tekonsha brake away kit # PS50-85-320 does have an amber light to indicate that the unit is charging. This is a feature of the models that come with a charger. If this is the system you have and the light is not coming on first make sure the 7-Way trailer connector has power on the 12 volt circuit.
Also inspect all of the wiring in the system including the wiring for the breakaway switch and ground connections. A weak ground could cause the circuit to not be completed and it would not charge. The breakaway system itself and the main trailer connector grounds are the ones to check. They should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.

Just installed break away kit with back up and when testing it everything worked fine, but after setting awhile the amber light doesn't come on when I put power to the system. I am using a battery to test it, could it not be charging(the amber light not coming on) due to my test battery being low.
