Can I Switch Between A Gooseneck And Fifth Wheel Hitch On A 2009 GMC 2500 HD Short Bed
Question:
Will I be able to use existing frame rail mounts when changing from 16K Kwik Slide to one of your gooseneck hidden hitch configurations? I will need frame mounted safety chains here in Colorado. I want to end up with no rails in the bed. Also, when I go to the 5th wheel/gooseneck adapter hanging on my 5th wheel trailer and I become unhappy with the ride, is there an option to use a gooseneck hidden/turn over ball with a 5th wheel head again? I own a 2009 GMC 2500HD diesel short bed. Thank you!

Yes! For your 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed you can use B&W gooseneck hitch, # BWGNRK1067-5W, and then, when needed, use the Companion 5th wheel hitch, # BWRVK3400-5W, which mounts in the gooseneck ball hole. I have linked some videos of these parts for you.
