Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for 2011 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a 2011 Ford F150 and will be towing a 27ft travel trailer. I have the tow package but no trailer brake. I want to save $ and but an aftermarket brake controller and I really like the ion on your site. My only question is which would be the best for me? Mainly flat travelling, no mountains. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.

All you need to install this controller in your 2011 Ford F-150 is the correct install harness which is part # 22292.

This adapter plugs into the built-in connector beneath your vehicle's dashboard. To access this connector, first locate the instrument cluster finish panel in the center of you dash, near the driver's side. Carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. Plug the adaptor into the mating connector in the large gray housing behind the panel.
