Recommended Bike Adapter Bar For 20 Inch Post To Step Measurement
Question:
Hello, I am looking for a bike adapter bar to fit my wifes bike. the measurement from center of stem to center of seat post is about 20 inches. I want a bar that will fit snugly and not allow the bike to sway when on the car rack. What would you suggest? Thank you

For your 20 inch measurement of your wife's bike, I recommend the Thule Bike Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # TH982XT. This adapter bar telescopes from 16" to 31-1/2" long, to give you a snug fit. This will allow the bike to sit in the cradle of a hanging rack level. The particular rack you use is what will prevent the sway, but if you use this adapter with a cradle that also attaches to the down tube, it will allow you to use that system using your bike seat tube for sway control.
