Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller in 2002 Dodge Dakota with 4-Way  

Question:

Hello this may sound like a stupid question but Im stumped. I have a 2002 Dodge dakota and I have a flat four prong trailer put set up on my truck now but Im looking to wire up a 7 prong plug for trailer brakes. Just wondering what Ill need I have a brake booster just dont know how to install it. Thanks

To convert your 4-way to a 7-way and install a brake controller only requires you to use the kit part # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to make the conversion and wire in the brake controller. I attached an install video for this as well. You would not need to tie into the brake booster of your truck at all either.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
