Question:

Hi, I want to replace the actuator on my Shorelander trailer from 1989 see pic. The distance between the bolts is 5 inches. Ball size is 2 5/8. Boat weight is 3,800 lbs. Dont know about the trailer. I tried to look online but couldnt see anything close enough? Any suggestions? Thank you,

It's not an exact match but the surge brake actuator we offer that would match what you have the best is the Demco part # DM8759411. This is for drum brakes, has a drop for the coupler portion like your current coupler, and has more than enough capacity at 8k. Also it fits a 2-5/16 inch ball like what you have.

The mounting holes won't line up though as they won't center on the frame channel like your current actuator. You can still have this welded on though in place of what you have and it would work just fine if you didn't want to drill new holes.
