I called my contact at CargoGlide and asked about the 1000XL Sliding Tray # CG1000XL-7041 for your 2017 GMC Canyon.
The tray weighs 260-lbs. My contact said the distance between the wheel wells in the bed of your truck has to be at least 43-1/4 inches for this tray. The tray is 70-inches long so it will work great in your 74-inch long bed. This tray has a 1,000-lb weight capacity
