Wire Harness 3070-S Compared To 3070-P For 2017 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

I am advised that either harness will work on a 2017 Ridgeline and that the harness construction is exactly the same, except for packaging. Only difference is that the 3070 is 1$ more. Is this correct? and what is the -P for if this is accurate info.

The Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail - Honda # 3070-S is a confirmed fit for hardwiring any controller model to the factory connection. The dash P or the dash S is the manufacturers part number, so I don't know if it is significant to them or not, but it is just a part number to us.

So, in reality, either product will work for your truck you will just either have a quick connection to your controller or a hardwiring between the two pigtails for your controller.
