When towing a front wheel drive car like your 2001 Chevy Impala on a tow dolly like the RoadMaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1 you want to put the car in park and be sure to have the emergency brake OFF and the steering wheel locked. If you are flat towing your Impala with all 4 wheels on the ground, you will want your vehicle in neutral with the accessory on. I recommend you check your owners manual for any additional info you may need.
