Replacement Special Trailer Tires for 1970 Aristocrat Lo-Liner Trailer

Question:

The tires I have on my 1970 Aristocrat Lo-liner are 185/70 R13 but they bulge at the bottom. I think I need trailer tires. Id like to know what is the best fit for this model? Do you know what this model came with originally?

We can help you with new special trailer tires for your vintage 1970 Aristocrat Lo-Liner travel trailer.

We do not offer your 185/70R13 size but we do have a bias ply trailer tire in size ST185/80D13, part # AM1ST79 from Kenda. This tire will have an overall diameter of 24.4-inches when mounted and inflated. This size is about 1.2-inches larger in diameter than size 185/70R13 but has the same width, about 7.2-inches. You will need to measure to confirm you have enough clearance in the wheel wells for this larger size. You need at least 3-inches of space above the tire to allow for normal suspension travel.

This Kenda tire can handle up to 1710-lbs at its rated inflation pressure of 65-psi and it carries an M speed rating, good for up to 81-mph.

The best ways to ensure long reliable service from a set of trailer tires (and your new spare tire too) are to 1) always keep the tires inflated to their maximum cold psi pressure; 2) always observe their rated weight capacity; and 3) always operate the tires within their speed rating. The other thing you can do to protect your tire investment is to keep them safe from UV radiation during storage times by using wheel covers such as # CAM45321.
