Will Draw-Tite Hi-Rise Gooseneck to Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch # 9480 Fit On A 1997 Ford F-250 SD
Question:
buying a gooseneck under bed mount hitch for my 97 Ford F-250 heavy duty. I would like to get one that will work with this 5th wheel conversion kit, so later i can tow a 5th wheel camper or my gooseneck trailer. There are limited styles for my year truck. Is there one you know that will work with this addapter? I what to get the right one so I dont have to change later. Going to have to keep this truck for a while. Thanks..

The Draw-Tite Hi-Rise Gooseneck to Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # 9480, will only work on B and W Turnover Ball, Hide-A-Goose By Draw-Tite/Reese, and Under-Bed by Bulldog under bed gooseneck hitches.
The only gooseneck under bed hitch for your 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty is the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Gooseneck Hitch, part # C600-636, and the Curt Quick Goose 2 Gooseneck Hitch, part # C630-636. These Curt hitches will not work with the Draw-Tite Hi-Rise Hitch.
For your 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty I would recommend using the Curt X-5 Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Hitch Adapter Plate, part # C16210. The Curt adapter plate will only work with the Curt Double-Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitch, # C600-636.
Once the adapter plate is installed, the adapter plate will accept any of the Curt, Reese, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Valley or Husky fifth-wheel Hitches that have a weight capacity of 20,000 lbs. or less.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Curt adapter plate.
