Reducing Sway While Towing a Trailer with a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L
Question:
Hello, I recently upgraded my trailer to a 21 ft toyhauler, about 5600lbs dry weight. I previously installed Firestone airbags on the rear springs, but noticed that due to the height of the toyhauler, the slightest bit of wind makes it feel like the rear of my truck is floating or swaying. I would like to upgrade the suspension to minimize this. Do you recommend add-a-leaf, upgraded springs or other? Any insight is hugely appreciated!

Instead of adding suspension enhancement to your truck I suggest using a weight distribution with sway control problem to solve your problem. Especially, if you already have air springs installed.
To choose the right system you'll need you trailer's loaded and ready to tow tongue weight and the amount of weight stored behind the rear axle of your 2013 Ram 1500.
For example if you find your loaded trailer's tongue weight to be 750 pounds and then you add 150 pounds in your Ram's bed behind the rear axle a good weight distribution system for you is the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66559 which is rated up to 1,000 pounds tongue weight.
