Bike Rack for a 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch on the Back of and RV or Trailer
Question:
1 1/4 Two bike carrier. Why are some of this single arm design not rated for receiver on RV bumper?

For a bike rack to be used on the back of an RV or trailer it has to have a 2 inch shank only that is reinforced and cannot have folding features in the shank (with few exceptions). Not everyone makes them this way or tests them for RV/trailer use so the options are limited. There is more movement and bouncing at the back of an RV which can lead to damage to some racks which is why not all racks are compatible.
