Pro Series Slider Leaving Marks on Sliding Rails

Question:

I recently purchased a pro series slider for my fifth wheel it does not rest on the rollers but on the cast part the handle slides through, can I disassemble the slider and relieve this part, also will that void my warranty?

I spoke with my contact at Cequent, who owns Pro Series, and they said that the wear you are seeing is normal. It is caused by the leaf spring putting pressure down on the latch while traveling fore and aft. (see attached picture)

It won't make it go away but you should be putting some lubricant on the top and side surfaces of each rail so it slides easier.
