Installing Gooseneck Trailer Hitch and Air Bag System on 2015 Ford F-150

Question:

Im wanting to get a hide-a-goose kit for my 2015 f-150 with the 5.5ft bed, like the other fella who asked a simar question. I have an air-lift kit on order and was wondering what order the two kits should be installed? Will one being installed make the other installation more difficult?

The Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit # 9465-91 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2015 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 foot bed. This will give you a gross towing weight capacity of 30,000 pounds and vertical load limit of 7,500 pounds. The ball on the hitch can be removed and stored upside down, inside the hitch in order to have full truck bed access when not towing. With your 5-1/2 foot bed, I recommend adding the 5 inch Offset Ball # 19308 to provide additional cab clearance.

As for installing the Gooseneck Trailer Hitch along with an air spring system like the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57385, it will not matter which one is installed first. You will just want to confirm that the air spring system you have is compatible with an in-bed hitch. I confirmed with my contact at Air Lift that the LoadLifter 5000 system will work great with an in-bed hitch like the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch and there will be no issues with interference. They will use separate mounting locations on the vehicle frame so you can install either one first. Whichever system you install first will not make the installation of the second more difficult.

The Air Helper Springs in this system will provide your F-150 with up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling support and will help to reduce strain on the rear suspension when carrying or towing heavy loads.

I have attached the installation details on both of these products for you to review.
