Recommended Ball Mount With Clevis For ATV Towing
Question:
When connecting to a ATV should the clevis connection be converted to a ball connection for better control for backing up heavier trailers? My travel trailer weighs 2900 lbs and 350 lb tongue weight.

A hitch ball will give you better control for backing up your travel trailer with your ATV. I recommend the Curt Ball Mount for 2" ATV Hitches - 2" Ball and Clevis Bar - 1/4" Rise # C45009. This will give you the clevis as well as a 2 inch ball for your application. If you need the entire system, I recommend the Curt ATV Towing Starter Kit - 2" Receiver - 6" Long Ball Mount - 2" Hitch Ball # C45038.
