The Malone Dual Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches # MPG544 will reduce your trailer hitch receiver's weight capacity by 50%. If your hitch receiver has a tongue weight rating of 500 lbs, you would need to calculate the weigh of your scooter, the rack to hold it, and the ball mount as well as the trailer tongue weight subtracting all of that from the 500 max weight capacity of the hitch.

A better option for you may be to use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210. Because this is a ball mount and not an adapter, your trailer hitch receivers tongue weight will not be reduced. You will need a hitch ball to go with this application, and it will require connecting a trailer prior to loading the additional rack in most cases for proper clearance.

I've attached review videos to help.
