Will Converter Box # 118158 Work With 2017 Subaru Forester with Curt Trailer Wiring Installed
Question:
I installed a Curt wiring kit in our 2017 Subaru Forester. Full factory LEDs on the Forester. Wanted to tow our small trailer that has separate amber turns and red brake lights as well as running lights. All LED on the trailer also. Can the Curt 118158 be used in this situation? I thought it said in the video review that LED lights were not supported but I wasnt sure if that was towed vehicles only? Thank you.

The # 118158 will work in your situation since the trailer wiring setup you have on your 2017 Subaru Forester is the Curt harness part # C56040 which actually draws it's power from the vehicle battery and not the LED taillight circuits of your vehicle.
