Will Reese Weight Distribtution Shank RP3215 Work for Setup that Needs 5 inches of Drop

Question:

Hi, I have a Reese Trunnion Bar Weight Distribution Setup and I am switching tow vehicles to a 2016 F-150 so I need a shank with more drop than I currently have. The new drop that I need is approximately 5. The lowest drop for RP3215 with a trunnion setup is 5 3/4, if I went up one hole spacing the drop should be 4 1/2. Would this be an acceptable setup? Thanks for your help

Yes, the part # RP3215 would be a great option for a shank for your weight distribution setup. Getting within 1/2 an inch of level will be close enough. Especially when you consider that you would be 1/2 inch on the higher side for the nose of the trailer. The suspension of your vehicle will settle slightly with the tongue weight of your trailer so this will put you right where you need to be.
