Recommended 5th Wheel Rail Kit And Hitch Compatible With 2011 Ram 3500 Flat Bed
Question:
Im looking at buying a 2011 ram 3500 crew cab long box st. A previous owner took the box off and installed a flat bed. What kind of 5th wheel plate would I need and custom install brackets? I will be pulling a 14,165 lbs gvw 5th wheel camper.

If you want to keep your flat bed clean, I recommend the Underbed Rails and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches # RP30852 with the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000lbs # RP30921. This system will give you 4 pucks similar to the factory style pucks now available in many trucks. This will leave your flat bed usable without raised rails.
If you want traditional above bed rails, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56011-53 for an easier install, but the # RP50140-58 will also work just fine. I recommend using the Reese 20K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30928.
