Can a 5th Wheel Hitch and Gooseneck be Installed on a 2008 GMC Sierra at the Same Time

Question:

I have a turn over ball goose neck already installed in my truck and would like to put a plate style hitch in without taking out the goose neck. My concerns are is there a mounting system I can use to mount infront and behind the gooseneck support rails without running into interference from the goose neck angle irons for the gooseneck. I would prefer a one piece attachment to the frame so lining up the rails for the new hitch in the bed would be easier. If the brackets mounted to the inside of the frame then think it would miss everything as far as the support irons go for the gooseneck but do they make such a bracket and would it be weaker if it didnt mount on top of the frame of the truck. Any info would be appreciated

For the most part you can't have both a gooseneck hitch and 5th wheel hitch installed at the same time. But if your gooseneck happens to be a B&W Turnover Ball then you could use the Companion hitch # BWRVK3500 for a long bed or # BWRVK3400 for the short bed. These hitches mount in the gooseneck ball hole of the B&W hitches and allow you to tow a 5th wheel trailer with the gooseneck hitch.

If you do not have a B&W gooseneck hitch then I recommend the Andersen Ranch Hitch, # AM3100. It attaches to the king pin on the 5th wheel trailer. I have included links to videos on all of these products for you.
