Question:
I have a 2017 26 ft Coachman Trail Blazer 26 TH. The tongue weight as listed on the tongue is stamped 987 LBS. Ill have a 600LB golf cart in the cargo area. I have a clearance of 27 inches where the brackets can be put on the frame. Which hitch will work best for me? I want a weight distribution and a no sway control hitch system. Thank you

In checking the specs online it gives a hitch weight of 957 lbs dry and GVWR of 7900 lbs, so I assume that the stamped weight is fully loaded tongue weight. For a weight distribution system, you will want to take the total tongue weight which is the loaded tongue weight of the trailer as well as any cargo weight behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. You want that total tongue weight to ideally fall in the middle of the weight distribution system tongue weight rating scale.
For your application, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET. This system has a range of 800-1200 lbs. This system comes with the hitch ball you need and has 4 point friction sway control built in. It will help control sway as you travel down the road without any addition parts needed. The trunnion bars use metal on metal friction with the brackets and there are 2 other points of friction built into the head of the unit. From the center of the coupler, you can mount the brackets back at the 27 inch mark and it will function correctly.
I recommend the Thin Walled Socket for Equal-i-zer Hitches # EQ70-00-4800 to help you install the hitch ball.
