Aftermarket Mirror Fit for 2002 Cadillac Escalade
Question:
Hello, Im trying to determine if this is the right mirror for me because I noticed that it only has one set of wires sticking out of it. But, when I take the mirror Im replacing off of the truck there are two sets of wires. Its a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. Ive attached a picture so you can see what Im seeing.

When replacing an OEM mirror on a vehicle with an aftermarket part like # KS62025G the new part needs to have the same functions as the original. It is not possible to add an additional mirror function to a vehicle just by replacing the mirror unit since the wiring needed to make that new function operate will not have been installed in the vehicle at the factory.
All of the powered/heated mirrors we offer for your 2002 Cadillac Escalade (shown on the linked page) have a single wire harness that delivers power for both the mirror adjustment and heating functions. If your mirrors have additional functions such as built-in turn signals and puddle lamps, then the second wiring harness could be for those functions. None of the aftermarket mirror products we offer for your 2002 Escalade include these functions, so they have only the one connector (shown in the linked photo). This appears to be a correct match for one of the harnesses in your photo.
If you want to you can test the contacts in that other harness to see if you can detect which functions they support. You will need a circuit tester like # PTW2993, shown in the linked video, to probe those contacts while you activate a function such as a turn signal. Your local dealership may be able to help by looking up your Escalade's VIN to see exactly what equipment it had from the factory.
