Will Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain # PW3010C Fit a 265/70-16 Tire Size on a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra
Question:
I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra and 2004 Toyota Tacoma with 265 70 R 16 tires , 2 wheel drive. Live in Texas, some snow and some ice. Right now it is a mess. Will this type of cable work for either truck? Are the cable type with the adjusters what I need for in town travel. Are there any adjusters on the inside of the tire area that make the Glacier cable type difficult to install? I have use the old chain type and they will damage your cars fenders if they come loose. Any trouble on the Glacier PW3010C. Thanks

We have numerous tire chain options for a 265/70-16 tire size. I have included a link to the available options for you to review. The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, # PW3010C, will fit that tire size. These are good for occasional use in places that do not receive a lot of winter precipitation and for on road travel. There is a lever on the chains themselves used to tighten them down, but it is located on the outboard side where you will have easy access to it so installation will be easy.
It is recommended to use rubber adjusters for the best fit and to keep the chains taught so you will not have a problem with them coming loose and damaging the vehicles. You would need to use Glacier Rubber Adjusters, # PW100. I have included a link to a video showing how the tensioners work.
I recommend checking the vehicle owners manuals to determine if tire chains can be used and if there are any restrictions or recommendations from the vehicle manufacturer. I have also included a link to our tire chain FAQ article for reference.
