When deciding on the proper weight distribution and sway-control system you need to know what your total ready to tow tongue weight will be between your trailer and tow vehicle. The total tongue weight will be the loaded ready to tow trailer, plus any cargo located behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.

Once you know what tongue weight you are working with, then you will be able to pick the proper weight distribution and sway-control system for your application. I have attached an article that will show you how to find the total tongue weight of your towing rig. Also, I recommend using a scale like the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale, # e99044, when trying to determine your total tongue weight.

Now, looking at the information that you provided, I can give you a general recommendation on a system that will fall into a range that you can review.

If you camper has a tongue weight of 1500 lbs, then you will want a system that has a tongue weight range that this amount will fall in between. As an example, the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution, # RP66075, has tongue weight range between 1000 to 1700 lbs. You do not want a system too small or too large for your application.

Again, this was only an example of a WD system. You will need to find your total tongue weight before you can pick a system for your towing rig.

I have link a page that list all the weight distribution systems we carry. These products are subdivided by tongue weight. So, when you get your confirmed total tongue you can pick review the systems we carry that will work for your application.
