Can a 2017 Chevy Traverse Flat Tow a 2013 Chevy Equinox with Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar

Question:

I have my 2013 Equinox setup with the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar to two behind my 2016 Thor Hurricane. Can I use this same setup to tow the Equinox behind a 2017 Traverse equipped with the HD trailer two package? I want to travel from MI to FL. What problems may I encounter?

As long as the tow vehicle is larger than the vehicle that is being towed you can flat tow it (which is the case with the Traverse and Equinox for this application). All of the equipment and procedures will be the same as if you were towing the Equinox with an RV.

If the RV hitch height is different than the Traverse hitch height you may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
