Trunk Mount Bike Rack on 2006 Toyota Corolla to Carry a Women's Bike

Question:

Im looking at a bike rack for my 2006 Toyota Carolla. I dont have a trailer hitch and my bike is a WOMENs FRAME. I see that most of the racks have a crossbar clamp. What would you recommend?

If you don't want to add a trailer hitch receiver to your 2006 Toyota Corolla then your best option is to use a trunk mount rack with a bike frame adapter bar. The Kuat Ubar # UB01 installs between the handlebar stem and seat post to create the horizontal cross tube a traditional men's bike has. This way your women's bike will hang level on a bike rack.

For the rack I suggest the Thule Passage # TH910XT if your Corolla is a Sedan. The Passage works well on trunks and with most spoilers. The rubber straps hold the bikes in place it includes anti-sway cradles to help prevent your bike from making contact with your car.

If your Toyota is a hatchback instead I suggest the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top # HRF2. This rack is great for SUV's or cars with hatchbacks because the top of the rack extends over the hatch. It also uses anti-sway cradles and rubber straps to secure your bike.
