How to Turn Off Bully Dog Triple Dog GT Gauge Tuner on 2008 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
I have currently had one installed in my 08 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. The problem I have is I cant seem to find anyway to turn unit off. If your not using your truck every couple days this unit will drain your battery without the capability to turn it off. Any ideas or am I missing something here? Thanks,

If you have the Bully Dog Triple Dog GT Gauge Tuner model BY40420GM in your 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 it looks like there should be a power switch on the adapter plug that has two options. The first option is "BATT", which looks like what yours might be currently set in. If the switch is set to this option, it will provide continuous battery power to the GT Tuner directly through the vehicle's diagnostic port. You can also turn the power switch to "KEY", which will pull energy from the fuse box through the power wire and allows the GT Tuner to automatically turn on and off based on the vehicle's ignition key position. Basically, when you turn the power switch to the KEY setting, the tuner will turn off when you turn the vehicle off.
