Can Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Work With SMI DUO Supplemental Braking System

Hello, I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport 6-speed manual. I am going to install the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional - SM99251 Do I need the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit - RM-154 to complete the job? Thanks,

There are several items needed when you are flat-towing your 2017 Elantra. You will need base plates for the Elantra, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and a supplemental brake system.

Assuming you have all of the other components and just need the lighting, the # RM-154 diode kit will work with your vehicle. You will run the wiring under your vehicle up to the front. You then tee the wiring for the SMI Duo # SM99251 into the # RM-154 wiring so that both systems receive the signals from the motorhome.
