Can Converter # 118158 be Used to Give a Truck with Combined Circuits a Dedicated Turn Signal
Question:
Hello, I need to rewire my trucks tail lights no trailer involved. I need to separate brake and signal lights from each other. I will be installing an external signal light housing on each side. * so Marker AND brake lights stay the same in same housing currently operated with dual tungsten bulb for marker and brake lights. I just dont want them to blink with signal lights. * Install new signal light housing and rewire to blink for signal lights only. 1- Would the 118158 vehicle to vehicle converter work in my application? 2- Where do I exactly install this converter? 3- Do I need a separate converter for each side of the tail lights? Thanks in advance for your help.

To give your truck an additional set of dedicated turn signals the part # 118158 would be what you would need. On the input side of the box you would need to tap the yellow and green wires into the combined circuit taillight circuit of the vehicle and then use just the yellow and green wires on the output side for the turn signals.
Yellow goes to the left, driver side and the green goes to the right, passenger side.
