Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Airstream Trailer has Unloaded Tongue Weight 350 lbs
Question:
I have a 2011 V6 Toyota 4runner, GVWR=6300, Max Hitch wt = 500. Thinking about buying an Airstream 16foot Sport, GVWR=3600, Tongue wt=350 lb. Have two questions. What does an Equalizer E3 hitch weigh? And do I add that weight to the trailer wt, vehicle wt or total hitch wt? Im trying to determine the cargo capacity of the vehicle when trailer is in tow. E3 is a weigh distributing hitch so where does the wt go?

Equalizer systems like the part # EQ37100ET that you referenced weigh right at 100 lbs but they do not count towards tongue weight. The reason that we have been given by our WD manufacturers is that the systems essentially become part of the hitch setup.
A better system for your tongue weight of 350 lbs unloaded would be the part # EQ37060ET which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs.
I attached a review video for this system for you to check out as well.
