One of my favorite bike racks to recommend is the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F which would be great for carrying 2 bikes with your 2017 Ford Edge. This is a platform bike rack which will make loading and unloading bikes much easier than a hanging bike rack, it's lightweight, made in America, and only touches the bikes at the tire so you don't have to worry about the rack scratching any painted surfaces.
If you were in need of a hitch as well you would want the Draw Tite hitch part # 75234 which is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ford Edge. It will give you a 2 inch hitch which will have higher capacities and more flexibility for future hitch accessories.
