Can you mount the Thule 987 to the Thule 963xtr spare me bike carrier?

Yes , the Thule Ski and Snowboard Rack, part # TH987XT, will mount to the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH963PRO. The ski rack will attach to the bike rack arms of the Spare Me bike carrier, just like it is shown in the attached video review of the ski rack. The only difference is where the ski rack attaches to the bottom of the bike rack. The ski rack uses a U-bolt to attach to the upright bar on a hitch mounted bike rack. When using the ski rack on the Spare Me bike carrier it will use carriage bolts that will go through the two holes located under the center knob on the Spare Me bike carrier and tighten down with the wing knobs included in the ski rack.
