Can I Buy Trailer Axles That Come With Spindles and Brakes
Question:
I need an axle for one of my trailers. Do you sell complete axles and can they be cut down in width?

We do offer trailer axles that already have the spindle and some even come with brakes! I do not recommend modifying the length on any trailer axles, though, because they have been manufactured for a specific purpose and any modification could cause something to be out of balance or uneven.
Since 3,500 lb axles are very common, I recommend going with the Trailer Axle # e43SR that comes with electric brakes. To make sure that this axle will fit your trailer you will want to take the spring-center-to-spring-center length (74 inches) and the hub-face-to-hub-face length (89 inches) to make sure that they match up with your trailer.
If you are needing a trailer axle that is an unusual length then I recommend going with a Timbren Axle-Less Suspension like part # A35RS545E. This system is rated for 3,500 lbs and comes with the electric brakes as well.
Even though 3,500 lb axles are very common, you will want to be sure to pick an axle that has the same weight capacity as the axle that you are replacing. I have attached a link to our axle product page which gives you the ability to search for axles based on their weight capacity.
I have also attached some review videos of both of the axle systems that I mentioned.
