Height of Husky Silver Series Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch
Question:
Hello: I am looking for a fifth wheel hitch. I am interested in the Curt A16 with the slider or, the Husky 16K W with the composite slider. My truck bed is higher than my old truck so I am looking to find a hitch with a low height adjustment. The Husky hitch states it can be as low as 14.5 inches. Can you confirm this is the measurement from the truck bed to the top of the plate? I have a gooseneck to fifth wheel adapter in the truck with the slots 20 5/8 by 21 15/16th-I assume this is the industry standard. Also, can you recommend which model of surface mount LED tail lights would be appropriate to replace the older lights on my 2001 fifth wheel. Thanks

The Husky Silver Series # HT31326-32042 does measure 14-1/2 inches from your truck's bed to the top of the hitch head at its lowest setting.
The Curt A16 # C16521 has the same measurement of 17-1/2 inches on its lowest setting.
Industry standard rails are spaced about 20-1/2 inches from side to side and 22 inches from front to back. So it sounds like yours are industry standard.
If you can provide me with the dimensions of your lights and some pictures I'd be happy to find the correct lights for your trailer.
