Question:
I recently purchased a 6 ski rhino rack, and Im having issues locking the rack while Im using it, is this a common issue ? I feel unsafe driving with my board in the rack if its not locked. Any feedback would help Thanks

If you are having trouble getting the carrier to shut around your equipment on the Rhino-Rack 6 Skis or 4 Boards Carrier # RR576, I recommend trying to shut it without any equipment in it. If you can get it shut without equipment, then you will want to check the placement of your equipment when it is on the rack and put the tallest equipment towards the non-hinged side of the carrier. Even though the carrier can hold up to 6 skis or 4 snowboards, if you have the maximum amount of equipment in it then it will be a little more difficult to shut as opposed to shutting it with no equipment in it.
If you are having trouble with using the actual locks on the carrier after you close it around your equipment, then you might want to look into getting new lock barrels, part # RRRK005-2. I can assure you though, that if you have successfully closed the carriers, they will hold your equipment just fine while heading down the highway. The locks are there to help prevent and deter theft, not necessarily to keep the arms closed while driving.
If you try both of these and neither works just let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
