Will Bikes Block Trailer Coupler when Loaded in Multipurpose Ball Mount D210 or MT70066
Question:
This dual receiver seems like the perfect fit for my purposes. I have read that especially with the Curt #D210 customers had to remove the bikes and rack in order to attach and detach the trailer. Is that also the case with this hitch? It looks like there is at least 1-2inch more clearance between the accessory receiver and the dropped ball with one. Also, the bike rack I have is built for a 1.25inch receiver, would this dual receiver still work with the adapter I use a 2inch to 1.25inch adapter to attach rack behind my car now? I assume you dont have any option includes a 2inch towing 1.25 inch accessory receiver with a 2inch ball mount for my trailer?

Whether it is the Curt # D210 or the MaxxTow # MT70066 the potential for the bikes to hang over the trailer coupler is not only present but likely. That is the nature of the beast with these types of multipurpose ball mounts. You can use a reducer to use your 1-1/4 inch bike rack in the 2 inch receiver.
Another option is to use the Bike Bunk, # CC-275. It mounts on the front of a trailer and has a 2 inch receiver to load a bike rack. Using it would prevent you from having to take off the bikes/rack to couple/uncouple the trailer. I have included a link to a video review showing how it works.
