Would Small Tree Branches be a Problem for the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent
Question:
Im beginning to think about putting powered roof vents on my 5th wheel. Im looking at the MaxxAir MaxxFan Item # MA00-06200K for the front roof vent and am wondering how resistant the cover is to impact damage. I am very familiar with the MaxxAir II Vent Cover Item # MA00-933075 and know it is pretty tough. How does the toughness of the MaxxFans lid cover compare to something like the MaxxAir II vent cover? I dont want to get a powered vent if the lid cover will get busted out by hail stones or smaller tree branches from a thunder storm.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Well the assembly and lid of the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K are made from plastic so it's not going be be highly impact-resistant. Small tree branches wouldn't be a problem but large hail would damage the lid for sure.
For what it's worth no one has came back and reported that the lid was flimsy by any means.
