Can the Lippert Ground Control System be Used on a 18,000 Pound Toy Hauler
Question:
I have a 2010 43 foot Heartland Cyclone toyhauler. It is rated for 18000 fully loaded. Since this is pushing close to the limit and is a longer unit will this be a good choice or would an additional 2 jacks 6 point system be a better choice

Expert Reply:
The 6 point Ground Control system is only available for the OEM applications. Only the 4-point # LC358590 is available in the aftermarket so even if the 6-point would be better, which it would be for most applications, it isn't available. The 4-point system was designed with a higher capacity than the OEM 4-point version though to support heavier trailers like yours. At 18,000 pounds that still leaves 2,000 pounds to spare so the trailer is well within the capacity of the 4-point aftermarket system. I have linked a video review of this system for you.
