The sidewall height on the 235/80/16 tire, like part # TTWTRTM2358016E, is 7.4 inches while the sidewall for the 235/85/16 tire, like part # TTWPRG235R16, is 7.9 inches meaning that you will be adding 1/2 an inch. If you have a tandem axle trailer then you will be reducing that 2 inch space to 1 inch since both tires will have that extra 1/2 inch.

The 235/85/16 size tires will fit, but you need to have at least 2 inches of spacing between your tires so I recommend that you stick with the 235/80/16 size tires.

If you are determined to use the 235/85/16 size tires then you will need to upgrade your equipment on your trailer to give yourself some extra spacing. If you would rather go this route just let me know and I can help you determine what all you will need.
