The best location for mounting your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 is going to be to the right and below your steering wheel on the dash. Typically, drilling the necessary holes anywhere around this area will not be an issue, but the only way to really ensure you will not be coming into contact with anything behind the panel is to remove the panels first to locate any possible wiring behind where you plan on mounting the bracket.
If you do not yet have a wiring adapter and your Acadia already has a factory 7-way, I recommend using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3026-P. One end will simply plug into the brake controller and the other end will connect directly to the built-in harness beneath the dash.
