Can Universal Reese Fifth Wheel Rail Kit From 2015 Chevy Silverado Install in 2017 Silverado

Question:

I currently have the above w/universal base rail kit on 2015 Silverado 1500 w/6.5foot bed. Can my existing base rail be used on 2017 Silver 2500HD Duramax w/6.5foot bed?

Yes, if you have a Reese universal fifth wheel rail kit part # RP30035 installed in your older truck it would work for your 2017 Chevy Silverado too since it is a confirmed fit for it as well. The install hardware that attaches the rails to the brackets is considered one time use though so you would need to replace it with part # RP58504.
