Recommended Weight Distribution System For Trailer With Loaded Tongue Weight Of 700 lbs
Question:
tongue weight=#700 wet trailer appx. 6200lbs. What equalizer 4 point sway control do I use? Is the 600/6k model going to break?

Expert Reply:
For a loaded trailer tongue weight of 700 lbs, the 600 lbs Equal-i-zer system won't be adequate, it most likely will not break as it is designed to flex, but it won't distribute the weight correctly. I recommend you use the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # EQ37100ET. This will give you a total tongue weight range of 600 to 1000 lbs. Total tongue weight includes the loaded tongue weight of the trailer as well as any cargo weight behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. This will put you in the correct range for the best weight distribution and sway control for your trailer.
