How Far Out From Factory Mirror Does K-Source Towing Mirror KS3990 Stick
Question:
How much further out do they extend from the factory mirror? Will they fit the factory mirrors on a 2014 FJ Cruiser?

Expert Reply:
The K-Source Towing Mirror part # KS3990 is 5-1/8 wide. You would probably add about an inch to that to know how far out the mirror would stick when installed. That number will vary slightly though as it depends on where exactly that you install the mirror on your factory mirror.
For mirrors that are much taller than normal mirrors like those on your 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser, I recommend going with a door mount mirror, # 11650. The door mount is going to give you the best performance and vision. I have linked a video showing a typical installation for you.
