Can Air Bags Be Used With Weight Distribution System On 2013 Ford Pickup Truck

Question:

I currently tow a trailer using a weight distribution system. I want to change to an air bag system. Is it suggested to use both systems at the same time, or can I use airbags alone?

You can use an airbag system along with the weight distribution system on your 2013 truck. The two can be used together as long as you set up the air pressure in the bags before you set up the weight distribution system.

The air bag system is not designed to increase the weight capacity of the vehicle and it is designed to work with a suspension system that is in proper working order.

If you have an F-250 with a gas engine, the system I recommend is part # F2550. For a diesel you would need part # F2597.
